TopGuard Patrol Plus is an innovative new upgrade to the well-proven and widely-used WinArgus software, but includes additional features, such as the ability to create images of maps of tours using imported JPG or BMP graphic images. It includes 8 different report formats and allows up to 7500 data media (magnetic data strips, RFID tags or optical bar codes) to be programmed as incidents, personnel, breaks or control points in up to 350 programmed tours.
Password Protection: Each time TopGuard Patrol is started, the password is requested. you may log in as the administrator or a user, as required. This prevents unauthorized access to master files and configuration of data acquisition units. The downloaded data is also protected by a CRC checksum to prevent tampering (data manipulation).
TopGuard is the newest generation of guard tour software from GCS. A communication tool and report generator for the ProxiPen, it includes a Microsoft Access database and programming tools, so it's powerful, yet easy to use.
TopGuard Standard Edition- For Basic reporting needs, the standard edition is included in all ProxiPen Kits and features one comprehensive evaluation report. Up to 1,760 data media (magnetic data strips, RFID tags or optical bar codes) can be programmed as incidents, personnel or control points in up to 16 rounds.
TopGuard Plus Edition- For more complex reporting requirements, the plus edition has the capacity for up to 5000 data media and up to 99 rounds. It includes 8 different report formats such as Evaluation, Exception, Incident, etc. The Plus edition also has the ability to create maps of tours using imported JPG or BMP files.
Both softwares include a built-in utility function to diagnose the data acquisition units, Modem capabilities for remote site downloading and report forwarding as an e-mail via the native TopGuard format or as an HTML or Adobe Acrobat PDF file
You can track the individual guards if you are using the TGP PLUS software with the dongle, but not in the Basic version that comes with the kit. In the Detex TopGuard PLUS version, you can assign tags to as many guards as you want, and on the “Tours” screen, you move those guard tags into the “Personnel” group. Tracking the guards depends on them reading their own personnel tag (on the wall or wherever) before they start their shift or a tour. Assuming they do that, TGP PLUS will associate everything it sees in the download from that guard’s ProxiPen with him, and will continue to do so until he either downloads it or hands the ProxiPen to the next guard, who reads his personnel tag. In the “Reports” menu, you select “Personnel report” and a list of the guards appears on the right. You select the guard you want, set the start and end times for the report, and you’ll get a report of all of that guard’s activity during the relevant time frame.
